Questions

Will it go off during a meeting?

Only if you unplug during the meeting. One switch in the menu bar silences everything.

Does it drain my battery?

No. It waits for macOS to announce power changes instead of checking constantly.

Is it a subscription?

No. Pay once, keep it forever, updates included.

Can I use my own sounds?

Yes. Record 3 seconds right in the app with pitch and echo effects, drop in any mp3, wav or m4a file, or paste a video and we play its audio.

Can I use any song or clip?

The app plays whatever you give it. Using a sound on your own Mac is your call, but you're responsible for having the rights to it, especially if you post a reel with it.

Does it work on my Mac?

Every app needs an Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or newer) on macOS 14 or later. PlugMac and SmackBook also need a MacBook, and Caught in 4K needs a camera. To check your chip, open the Apple menu, then About This Mac: if Chip says Apple M-something, you're set. Each app page shows exactly which Macs it works on.

I'm on my phone. Can I still buy?

Yes. We email your app and license key, so you can install it on your Mac whenever you like.

Can I use it on two Macs?

Yes. Every key works on 2 Macs, and you can move it any time.

Does it spy on me?

No. Camera and mic are processed on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded and there are no ads or trackers in the apps.

What permissions does it ask for?

Only what the trick needs. Caught in 4K asks for the camera. The microphone is used only while you record your own sound. Nothing asks for your files, contacts or location, and turning a trigger off stops it using that sensor.

Refunds?

Apps are delivered the moment you pay, so all sales are final. That's why every app shows exactly which Macs it works on. Charged twice or never got your key? We'll fix it or refund you.
